A man was fatally struck by an NJ Transit train Tuesday evening in Monmouth County, officials said.
The person, identified only as an adult male pedestrian, was hit just before the Navesink River Bridge in Middletown at 5:54 p.m. by a North Jersey Coast Line train on its way from Penn Station New York to Bay Head, an NJ Transit spokesperson said.
The train had 200 passengers on it at the time, and none of them were injured, the spokesperson said.
