Bertha Ann Thibodeau

LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bertha Ann Thibodeau, who peacefully left this world on Dec. 29, 2024, at the age of 90.

Born on Jan. 27, 1934, Bertha was a proud graduate of Cony High School and later earned her degree from Gates Business School. She retired from the State of Maine Motor Vehicle Division, where she was well respected for her dedication and service.

On Nov. 23, 1955, Bertha married Clarence V. Thibodeau, beginning a marriage filled with love, partnership, and shared memories.

Bertha was a 50-year member of the Maine State Grange and a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Hallowell. She also attended the Southwest Baptist Church in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., where she found community and fellowship.

Bertha lived a full life, surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, whose kindness, warmth, and unwavering love touched the hearts of all who knew her.

A dedicated and compassionate individual, Bertha's legacy is one of strength, grace, and selflessness. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, always putting others before herself. One of her greatest joys was her love of reading, and she could often be found immersed in a good book, exploring new worlds through the pages.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence V. Thibodeau; her father, Clarence Geo; her son, Scott Thibodeau; and her sister, Patricia Gero, who passed away at birth.

Bertha is survived by her daughters Toby Riddell and Marie and Jason Bickford; her grandchildren, Derrick Riddell, Ashley Riddell, and Ryan Bickford; and her two great-grandchildren, Adrian Rodriguez and Electra Collins; as well as a wide circle of friends who will miss her deeply.

A special thank you to all of the Beacon of Hope Hospice team for the wonderful care and support they provided to our mother during her final days. A very special thank you to Jamie, our caregiver, for your exceptional kindness and care.
