Dominik Mysterio shades Shawn Michaels while talking WrestleMania

Dominik Mysterio recently appeared on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast, where his win-loss record at WrestleMania came up. O'Shea Jackson Jr., one of the show's hosts, reminded Mysterio, a Las Vegas resident, that next year's 'Mania is in Vegas. Jackson suggested then would be the right time for "Dirty" Dom to break his winless streak at the event.

"I'm 0-3 at 'Mania," said Mysterio. "Which is crazy. I'm gonna be the opposite of The Undertaker."

TJ Jefferson, the show's other host, slid in with an optimistic outlook. He noted how Shawn Michaels earned the nickname "Mr. WrestleMania" despite having a losing record on WWE's biggest stage. With a grin, Mysterio quipped, "Yeah, but nobody cares about Shawn. Like ever since he lost the hair, nobody cares about Shawn."

While Michaels may not be the Playgirl cover boy he was in the 1990s, his 6-11 WrestleMania record proves that sometimes the performance outweighs the outcome.

As for Mysterio becoming the opposite of The Undertaker at WrestleMania, who went 21-0 at one point, Mysterio's 0-3 record puts him in some good company. WWE Hall of Famer Tito Santana lost at the Showcase of the Immortals for seven consecutive years. And before she became Mercedes Moné, Sasha Banks lost five years in a row at 'Mania before breaking her winless streak in 2022.

If Mysterio remains a heat magnet for the next several years, few would likely shed a tear over his WrestleMania misery.
