Doo Ho Choi may have punched his ticket to a top 15 matchup earlier tonight (Sat., Dec. 7, 2024) at UFC 310 LIVE on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, stopping fellow featherweight Nate Landwehr with a gnarly third-round TKO (punches).

Choi was coming off his first win since 2016 when he finished Bill Algeo this past July and was hoping to create a win streak entering the new year. Standing in his way was Landwehr, who has become a fan favorite over the past few years on the back of gutsy, all-out wars inside of the cage, If there was a fighter outside of the top 15 that could test Choi's current abilities it was going to be Landwehr.

However, Landwehr really struggled in the opening round as Choi peppered him with crisp punches from range, hooks to the body, and elbows in the clinch. It was five minutes of domination for "Korean Superboy," but he impressed even more in the second round by displaying great takedowns and clean grappling on the ground. It was surprising to see from the established striker.

Choi kept his pressure up in the third round and ended up catching Landwehr in a deep crucifix. Landwehr kept trying to wiggle free, but Choi was peppering him with short punches and sharp elbows. The damage eventually piled up and the referee was forced to step in and save "The Train."
