I am friends with a MAGA couple. We enjoy fishing together, Tampa Bay football, and meet weekly for beers and music at a local waterfront bar. They are aware of my very liberal views though we decline to discuss politics. However, after imbibing a bit the wife tends to express her MAGA self.

Recently, I wore a tee that said 'Peace' in Arabic partially to protest the Mideast situation but also to gauge her reaction. While enjoying the music, I noticed her occasionally glancing at my T-shirt. After several beers, she couldn't stand it any more and asked me about the shirt. I told her it said Peace in Arabic....her reply was 'bulls**t, tell me what it really means'. I raised a one fingered salute and replied 'It says F**k Trump' to which she replied 'I thought so'. Then I ended the conversation with 'Again, you thought wrong'.

Apparently this woman is only capable of unidirectional thinking and unable to consider discourse outside her conditioned viewpoint. There are several MAGAts in our liveaboard community that refuse to consider alternative input. Their views include: the earth is flat, space travel is impossible, chemtrails are a mind control plot, and climate change is a hoax. I can't understand how these people have reached this level of conspiracy......it totally blows me away.

Yesterday, I voted for Harris/Walz. Also for amendments legalizing recreational ganga and negation of the six week abortion law instilled by DeSantis.
