The first round of the 2024 College Football Playoff kicks off this weekend, and among the slate of games is a showdown between No. 9 seed Tennessee and No. 8 seed Ohio State.

The Volunteers enter their first-ever College Football Playoff with a 10-2 record --- losing to Arkansas and Georgia, but earning a signature win over Alabama on Oct. 19. This game will also be the program's first game in Ohio and first road game against a Big 10 team.

Ohio State enters this game also at 10-2, looking to erase the memory of a 13-10 loss to Michigan to end the regular season. This is the Buckeyes' first playoff appearance since 2022.

Ohio State vs. Tennessee will kick off from Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 21.
