A woman was killed and three others were hurt in a wrong-way crash on N. Roxboro Street in Durham Saturday.
Shortly before 7 p.m., Durham Police responded to a crash in the 5000 block of N. Roxboro Street.
Nathane Blackmon, 42, of Durham, was traveling northbound on N. Roxboro Street in a 2011 GMC Yukon when the car crossed all travel lanes into oncoming traffic. The Yukon struck a 2009 Honda Accord traveling southbound - driven by Dawn Tucker, 67, of Durham - and a 2000 Chevy Silverado also traveling south.
Tucker was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. A passenger in the Honda Accord was transported to a local hospital with serious non-life-threatening injuries.
Blackmon was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Blackmon is charged with DWI, left of center and failure to wear seatbelt -- additional charges are likely to follow pending the investigation.
The driver of the Chevy Silverado sustained minor injuries but was not taken to the hospital.
