Dear millennial maalkin, setting boundaries is okay; discriminating is not
An Indian woman residing in Dubai drew netizens ire for her recent viral vlog condemning her housemaid for slouching on the sofa. The vlogger caught the maid relaxing on the surveillance camera. The maid is apparently a new hire, according to the content creator, who alleged that she would also make herself comfortable in bed besides the sofa. She quipped, "I am not very pro at maid handling." "We both are a different generation." The lady also plugged in the generational gap argument in her video, stating that while she is a millennial and her maid is a Gen Z. She is perplexed if her new hire is being overly comfortable. "What is a boundary to be set?" she asked. Not sure whether she is overreacting to the incident, the lady asked the internet to drop their opinions concerning the same. Regardless of the Gen Z maid's attitude, the millennial maalkin remarked that she was really good at her work.

Reacting to the vlog, netizens seemed divided. "Set the boundaries right there," suggested one user. "Sofa is okay, but set a boundary on bed," advised another. Yet another added, "Your house, your rules." One user chipped in, asking how a boss would react to an employee behaving the same in his cabin. "She isn't a slave," remarked one netizen, adding, "she can't be expected to be working all hours." She also reminded, "A maid is also a human." Another user, an 'over-excited panda,' stated how their maid sits with them on their sofa and also has breakfast with the family she serves as "we don't like to discriminate against people on basis of their job or social status."
