Florida hosted a number of recruits on campus for junior days last Saturday including 2027 linebacker Kaden Henderson.

Henderson is the 43rd overall prospect in the class, according to 247 Sports' Composite ranking. He's also teammates with Florida's 2026 QB commit Will Griffin at Jesuit High School in Tampa, Florida. Griffin has played a significant role in recruiting Henderson to Florida.

"It's an everyday thing. Every single day he's talking to me, talking about how they want me for the No.1 priority for the linebacker class, they definitely want me. He's definitely doing half the recruitment for them," Henderson said on Griffin's impact.

It's too early in Henderson's recruitment to have a clear picture of which teams are trending in the right direction, but Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State, Penn State, Tennessee, and Florida are some of the schools with the most traction.

Henderson spent time this past weekend talking to head coach Billy Napier, Co-defensive coordinator Ron Roberts, quality control / assistant linebackers coach Cannon Gibbs, and several current players.

"From how the players were talking, I feel like this is a great place for me and definitely my family but I still have a lot of options and I'm still gonna take it slow," Henderson said on where Florida stands in his recruitment.

The most important factor in Henderson's recruitment is development as the 6'2, 200-pound linebacker has dreams of playing in the NFL. He also wants a family-oriented program.

"Really just development, just knowing a school that can get me where I want to be in the NFL. A school that is family oriented, the best place for me and my family," Henderson told Gator Country.

As a true freshman in 2023, Henderson combined for 85 tackles and 6.5 tackles for loss for Jesuit. Henderson plans on coming back in the spring to watch some of Florida's practices.
