SAN DIEGO (WLUK) -- Wisconsin's men's basketball team will be heading to the Golden State next Thanksgiving, officials announced Thursday.

The Badgers are one of four teams competing at the 2025 Rady Children's Invitational tournament in San Diego. Joining Wisconsin will be Florida, Kansas and Providence.

The 3rd annual tournament is scheduled for Nov. 27 and 28, tipping off on Thanksgiving Day. Two games will be held each day, with the championship and third-place games taking place Nov. 28.

Tip times will be announced at a later date. All tournament games will air nationally on either FOX or FS1.

Tickets will go on sale in spring 2025. $5 from every ticket sold will go to Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego.

Wisconsin has played in a non-conference November tournament 18 times in the last 20 seasons. The Badgers have won six of those holiday tournaments, going 30-13 (.698) since 2005.

This year, the Badgers are competing at the Greenbrier Tip-Off in West Virginia, with their first game scheduled for Friday.
