PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WTVM) - A person has died after an incident at a retailer in Phenix City, according to Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr.

The incident, which authorities have not yet confirmed, happened at Dollar General on South Seale Road. The situation prompted a heavy law enforcement presence in the area Friday night.

The case is under investigation by Phenix City police.
