PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - An Albany police officer was seriously injured after being run over by a man trying to flee, the Albany Police Department (APD) said.
Around 2 a.m. Wednesday, two officers pulled over a man who refused to identify himself. The officers tried to arrest the man for failing to carry or present a license.
According to APD, the man resisted arrest and drove off, dragging officer Melissa Unrau before driving over her and leaving her in the street.

The man was later identified as Derham Edward Mohamed. He was arrested around four hours later in a different car and charged with:
Unrau was treated and is home recovering from her injuries. The other officer was uninjured.
