Two people were killed and a man was taken to hospital with burns after a house exploded in Tate Township, near Bethel, Ohio, on November 19, local media reported.

The blast, which occurred before 9 am on Tuesday, sent debris flying through the neighborhood.

Video by Stephanie Young, who ran down the street after hearing the explosion, shows the burning rubble as sirens blare in the distance.

The sole survivor of the explosion was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with burns, after one neighbor said he came running out, his hair "still on fire".
