FARGO -- Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night, Nov. 19, on Interstate 29 in Fargo.
A 74-year-old man and his passenger, who is 71 years old, were treated for minor injuries at Sanford Hospital in Fargo because of the crash, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The two men are from Hillsboro and were in a 2023 Ford Maverick, according to a news release.
The Maverick rear-ended a 2009 Toyota Highlander as the two northbound vehicles exited I-29 near 19th Avenue North in Fargo, the release said. Conditions were icy and the driver of the Maverick did not react in time to stop for the slowing Highlander, the release said.
The Highway Patrol did not identify the individuals in the Maverick, but it said the driver of the Highlander was Joseph M. Senyon, 75, of Fargo. He was not injured in the crash, the release said.
Everyone was wearing seat belts, according to state troopers.
The crash remains under investigation, and charges are pending against the 74-year-old driver, the release said.
