Baltimore police investigating a violent carjacking Sunday arrested five people, including a boy as young as 9 years old.City police said officers were called around 2:05 p.m. to the 3900 block of East Lombard Street for a report of a carjacking.A woman told officers she stopped at a stop sign at Grundy and Bank streets, where four people approached, one of whom used a metal tool to smash her window. The assailant then pulled the woman from her car and fled in the vehicle, police said.Officers found the vehicle with five people inside about an hour later in the 1800 block of North Milton Avenue. Police said officers chased down and arrested a 21-year-old man, a 19-year-old man, a 16-year-old boy, a 15-year-old boy and a 9-year-old boy.Police said the same assailants were responsible for an attempted unarmed robbery and assault in the 100 block of South Robinson Street that took place shortly after the woman's carjacking.The assailants aged 16, 19 and 21 were charged and taken to Central Booking.The 15-year-old boy was taken to the Department of Juvenile Services for processing, while the 9-year-old boy was released to his parents.
