PHOENIX (AZFamily) -- A very stable weather pattern has established itself over Arizona, so our quiet weather will continue with little in the way of day-to-day changes.
And with the cool mornings and low winds trapping dust and particles near the surface, a High Pollution Advisory is in effect through Wednesday night. That doesn't mean everyone will get poor air quality, but the chance is there.
Tonight, once again, we're forecasting lows in the 40s around metro Phoenix.
We'll see a gradual warming trend the rest of the week as a ridge of high pressure builds in. It looks like the warmest day will be Friday, with highs in the upper 70s. There's a chance some Valley locations could reach 80 on Friday as well.
The next storm system to slide to the north of Arizona will start cooling down temperatures on Saturday. By Sunday, we'll be in the low 70s and perhaps see some highs in the 60s next week.
There seems to be a bit of a change brewing in the overall weather pattern for 10-14 days out. And it looks like we might get some rain and snow chances out of it. However, at this point, any precipitation chances are very low.
With 131 days in a row without rain, we could sure use some.
On this day in 1915, five feet of snow fell in Flagstaff, while three feet fell in Sedona.
